Our clients trust us to bring together the best people, ideas, technical expertise and digital solutions to our work in transportation, buildings, water, the environment and new energy. We’re one global team  47,000 strong driven by a common purpose to deliver a better world.

Ideas have no borders and this ethos is embedded in our culture. Graduates – with their fresh thinking and passion for reimagining what’s possible – are critical to our success. As a graduate, you will have the chance to work alongside like-minded professionals and industry leaders on iconic projects that help shape and connect our cities and communities.

Job Description

As an Electrical Engineer within our highly successful Transmission & Distribution team, you will be involved in both the primary and secondary design of substation projects throughout Australia and Aotearoa (ANZ). When you transition to a Professional level role, you can decide where your interests lie and what opportunities you want to pursue.

You will be working in a supportive experienced team with a wide range of high calibre clients on the preparation of substation electrical drawings and studies such as grounding, lightning protection, and power systems analysis. Each day will provide new opportunities and challenges, and overall, you can expect to:

  • Concept and Detailed Design of substation primary and secondary systems for NZ and Australian clients
  • Site visits, inspections and testing as required (eg. soil resistivity testing)
  • Writing design reports and specifications
  • Providing construction support during the build phase
  • Working across multiple design disciplines to help deliver multi-disciplinary projects
  • Helping compile budget estimates and pricing schedules
  • Providing deliverables by project time, quality, and cost objectives

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Engineering with Honours (Electrical and Electronic Engineering) - final year or you have completed your studies within the previous two-year period

Interest in power systems engineering, as well as papers in power systems, would be an advantage

Please note that you need to submit your resume, a cover letter and the latest copy of your academic transcript (please submit all as one document).
