Delivering a better world.

At AECOM we’re driven by a common purpose to deliver a better world.  Our clients count on us to think without limits and we partner with them on projects spanning transportation, buildings, water, governments, public realm, energy and the environment, to build legacies for generations to come. AECOM is a great place to work. We prioritise culture, fun and creating an engaging work environment. We offer career development and mentoring for every staff member, as well as social and wellbeing opportunities. We have been recognised for our commitment to gender equity, value diversity and flexible work is visibly led from the top.

Resources & Industrial

At AECOM, we apply more than 100 years of experience in planning, designing, building and operating mines and metal/mineral processing facilities across some of the world’s richest resource regions, including Australia, the Americas and Asia.

Our experience encompasses energy fuels such as coal, oil sands and uranium; base and precious metals including copper, gold and nickel; and industrial minerals, such as bauxite, gypsum, phosphate, and potash.

We have an opportunity for a Graduate Electrical Engineer in our Instrument & Controls team based in the Brisbane Office.

The role:

Joining our dynamic, consulting environment, you will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects across mining, fuels, transport and defence. We are currently working on projects to add to your portfolio including mines and supporting facilities in Australia as well as overseas projects in Asia, North and South America, Africa, and New Zealand. You’ll work alongside a multi-disciplinary team of talented engineers to solve complex mining and industrial problems, providing documented engineering solutions.  If you have a desire to start a career in the resources sector and want to understand what it takes to design, build and control large machines, then this is the opportunity for you.

Graduates – with their fresh thinking and passion for reimagining what’s possible – are critical to our success. Ideas have no borders and this ethos is embedded in our culture. As a graduate, you will have the chance to work alongside like-minded professionals and industry leaders on iconic projects that help shape and connect our cities and communities.

Minimum Requirements :

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated time management and organisational skills
  • A strong sense of commitment, a willingness to learn, and a desire to work in a dynamic deadline-driven environment
