Application Process & Interviews at Arup Singapore

The interview was pretty non-technical, but that was probably because I was fresh out of college and a lot of what we do as tunnel engineers isn't taught in undergraduate school.

Was given a call by the HR to set a date for an online interview. Had the interview within the week and was given an offer by 2 weeks.

The interview process was good and the interviewers were friendly and un-biased.

The interview process was fairly straight forward. I think the anxious part was waiting to know if you have an interview in the first place. For me the team leader and a G6 interviewed me. They were very friendly and were very to the point.

Technical test, 2 rounds

The interview process was very informal and done over coffee. The assessment feels very personal according to who the interviewer was and what they are looking out for.

I was asked what my top and bottom three favourite modules were in uni.

Job experience, Interests, what I would like to achieve and how the company can help me.

I was asked to describe my university projects, prior work experience and why I wanted to work at Arup.

They asked me what I enjoyed about uni, why I applied to the particular team and what experience I had prior to joining Arup. As a graduate the only experience I had was my internship. So they asked about that. They asked questions that would allow you to talk about yourself and showcase your accomplishment.

What am I looking for in the job

Keep an open mind, and be honest about what you really want from your job.

Have a strong portfolio in both work experience and other interests apart from academics

Be yourself.
