What are your thoughts on pay and bonuses at your company?
Overall, I’m satisfied with the pay and bonus structure at BCD. The compensation is competitive and reflects the level of responsibility and effort involved in my role or roles I endeavor to fill. However, due to the challenging market conditions facing New Zealand at the current point in time, remuneration is generally low across the board. Despite this, I appreciate that BCD focuses on professional development, career growth, and provides opportunities to work on challenging projects, which adds value beyond just the financial aspects and bottom line.

Pay is fairly on par with other geo technical engineering companies, possibly slightly lower than average. However, BCD is committed to not making redundancies whereas other companies have had to make some due to the current economy. It is good to know your job is secure.

The start rate is the average for the industry. However, they also give you additional work perks such as a company phone and health insurance, which is a great bonus.

pay is good but could better, we get paid salary and don't get paid overtime which is sad when you work extra hours and don't end up having anything to show for it. we do get bonuses at Christmas time but its not a constant thing where you get it every year and the amount varies.

What are your company's best or most unusual perks? For example: free tickets, free dinners, moving expenses, taxis, pension, etc.
Friday beers. Rugby games.
Graduate, Auckland - 30 Jul 2024
Health insurance is included, I haven't looked too much into exactly what this includes. There is a fridge stocked with coke, sprite etc which you can drink during the day which is quite nice. Also coffee machine and beer taps which are a cool bonus.
