Ko te angitūtanga | The opportunity:

Our established and vibrant team is looking for a Graduate Building Services Hydraulics Engineer. This role is suitable for a qualified candidate to work on a diverse range of projects. The candidate will ideally have some experience in the design of Buildings projects and/or supporting infrastructure.

Technical Training:

During the internship, we focus on technical training in:

  • Hot & Cold water, sewer, gas, stormwater, and fire services calculation fundamentals
  • H2X program hot, cold, sewer and gas sizing
  • Authority services investigations
  • Bluebeam concept design
  • Revit modelling
  • Spatial allowances
  • Pump sizing, Hot water sizing and Rainwater sizing
  • Australian and international standards relating to hydraulic engineering
  • Stantec documentation procedure and data analysis
  • Design process and various procurement methodologies
  • Reporting, memo writing and email communication

  • Mechanical Engineering Degree, or on a structured pathway to securing
  • Ability to apply technical expertise in a way that balances commercial profitability, QA adherence, risk management and the morale of others.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritise workloads to meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to use initiative and think outside the box and positive, can-do attitude
