Being able to see the public catching the trains and trams that I’ve worked on brings a great sense of satisfaction and it feels that you are contributing to society.
I’m currently responsible for intercompany (in Corporate), which involves working with the other divisions on recharges between their division and Downer EDI.
Jess Zickar studied a Bachelor of Science Majoring in Land and Heritage Management and Masters of Environmental Science at The University of Wollongong in 2015 and is now an Environmental Planner at AECOM.
I have a project meeting with our Stantec team and an energy sector client where we give progress updates on the project. We work closely with the client to work towards their objectives.
I personally find going out and taking short breaks every now and then good for my productivity and focus. Plus, the sun started to shine. Bonus. And I enjoy being able to alter my desk to a standing desk at points throughout the day to change things up.
As part of Arcadis’ aim to diversify the knowledge of young graduates, I not only join in my regular project meetings but I am also invited to sit in senior meetings such as Pursuits Work Groups and Amber Reviews.
