Research the company's values or projects and work that into how your values align with the company's, that way when you're answering questions it can be authentic.
Research the company that is interviewing you. Know what they do and where they do it. Be prepared to talk about yourself, your interests and your background.
Be proactive. Take the initiative when trying to get your foot in the door with engineering companies by attending networking events and even personally dropping a CV and cover letter to their offices.
