Many Civil Engineers become involved in the design and construction of geotechnical and transportation projects. This extension specialisation provides expanded knowledge in construction and analysis techniques useful for these types of projects. Key concepts covered are applied geotechnical engineering in the areas of ground analysis, stabilisation and improvement techniques; construction methodologies; transportation network design; and road pavement design and construction.
