About this course

Outline Outline

Robotics is a rapidly advancing field, where machines are designed for situations such as traversing in dangerous environments, manufacturing processes, robot-assisted medical procedures, and assisting people in their daily activities. Robot automation is a multidisciplinary specialisation that provides the fundamental principles and practical abilities to create non-autonomous and autonomous robots, with a focus on project-based learning. Hardware and software implementation will be addressed.

What you'll learn
  • Demonstrate a conceptual understanding of fundamental science, mathematics, data analytics, information science, sustainability principles and/or computing, GC1
  • Solve robot automation problems of industrial and societal significance via innovative and creative design or research, working individually or in teams, GC2
  • Select and use current and emerging technologies to develop and communicate effective and innovative engineering solutions to complex problems, GC3
